The UNM Early Childhood Services Center works collaboratively at the local, regional and state levels to support a comprehensive and aligned quality early care, education and family support system that is equitably available to all children and their families in New Mexico. The Center provides culturally and linguistically appropriate professional development services to early learning programs within New Mexico, including cross-cultural communication and respect for the linguistic, ethnic, and gender-based differences that contribute to cultural identity.
NewMexicoKids Training and Consultation Hub
The NewMexicoKids Training and Consultation Hub coordinates professional development activities for Early Childhood Professionals across the state. Hub services include the design of online and face-to-face learning events, support and training for facilitators, maintenance of the statewide New Mexico Trainer Registry, and the coordination of learning events and other Early Childhood meetings.

Toy Lending and Resource Libraries
We maintain a Toy Lending and Resource Library at each of our five hubs. Each hub has specific hours, so be sure to call your specific area hub prior to visiting. Families and caregivers can borrow toys, educational materials, professional resources, videos and children's books for FREE. All you need is a valid ID and be over 18 (with the exception of younger parents).

Regional Training and Consultation Hubs
UNM ECSC is comprised of five (5) Regional Early Learning Consultation Hubs throughout the state that ensure coordination, alignment, and responsiveness to early learning programs in New Mexico. Regional Hubs are located in:

UNM ECSC Regional Early Learning Consultation Hubs provide a responsive integrated Comprehensive Early Learning Training and Consultation System through a continuum of Professional Development (PD) services to early care and education program staff based on program goals, preferences, needs, strengths and risk factors. In accordance to the needs of the early learning programs in New Mexico, a combination of services are available to early learning and care programs such as training, technical assistance, coaching, consultation, mentoring, and communities of practice. We provide support to:

- 2-STAR Child Care Programs
- FOCUS 2+ to 5 STAR Programs
- CYFD NM PreK Programs
NewMexicoKids Resource and Referral
NewMexicoKids Resource and Referral is a statewide service that serves to connect families with young children to services in their area. We maintain the state database of all licensed child care homes and centers, registered homes that wish to be referred, early education programs, and home visiting programs. We also refer families to related services in their communities such as financial/child care assistance, WIC, and Early Intervention.

ECSC Data Services
The Database Services team is contracted by the State of New Mexico to provide continual development of early childhood database systems. The team provides support and training to end- users across the following database systems: Home Visiting, Infant Mental Health, New Mexico Early Learning System (NMELS), New Mexico Tiered Quality Rating and Improvement System (NMTQRIS), Statewide Resource and Referral, and New Mexico PreK. The Database Services team is available Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
