2.	Do You Need Help Paying for Child Care?

The CYFD Child Care Services Bureau provides assistance with the cost for child care. Child care payments are issued in the form of a check in the name of the child care provider, and are mailed directly to the child care provider. Your co-payment is based on the size of your family and your family's income.

New MexiKids Insurance

New MexikidsThe New MexiKids provides no cost or low cost health care coverage for children 0-12. Health care coverage helps pay for regular check-ups, doctor visits, dental visits, hospital care, prescriptions, glasses and hearing and vision exams. The program covers children in families with household incomes up to 235% of the Federal Poverty Level Guidelines(FPL).

New Mexico Medicaid

New Mexikids

New Mexico Medicaid provides a broad array of health services for children under a federal Medicaid policy which requires that children receive EPSDT.This policy includes preventive health services, maintenance health services to ameliorate a condition or prevent worsening, and treatment of medical conditions.It also includes a complete range of mental health services - sometimes called behavioral health services - which include treatment for alcohol and substance abuse.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risks of serious injury or death from thousands of types of consumer products under the agency's jurisdiction. The CPSC is committed to protecting consumers and families from products that pose a fire, electrical, chemical, or mechanical hazard or can injure children. The CPSC's work to ensure the safety of consumer products - such as toys, cribs, power tools, cigarette lighters, and household chemicals - contributed significantly to the 30 percent decline in the rate of deaths and injuries associated with consumer products over the past 30 years.
