Trainer Registry

New Mexico Child Care Licensing Regulations state that training must be provided by people who are registered on the New Mexico Trainer Registry. The Children, Youth and Families Department has established a trainer registry for approval of those wanting to train providers working with young children. The purpose of the Trainer Registry is to ensure that early care professionals receive instruction from qualified individuals based on the seven Common Core Content Competency Areas and to establish policies and procedures for the current regulations. Search for State Approved Trainers

The New Mexico Kids Search for State Approved Trainers ONLY displays information for approved trainers who have given NewMexicoKids.org permission to post contact information and their approved competency area(s). CAUTION: There are many approved trainers who have not given permission to display their information publicly.

If a trainer does not appear on the search results, you can verify whether a trainer is approved through the NM Trainer Registry by contacting the Early Childhood Services Center at UNM Continuing Education. Questions regarding the NM Trainer Registry Search can also be directed to the ECSC.
